Explanation:

“Mananāt trāyatē iti mantrah” is the definition of the word mantra in Sanskrit.

Sustained repetition (Mananāt) of that which protects (trāyatē) from all miseries arising from bondage or cycles from birth and death is called mantra. Or that which saves you from repetitiveness. A repetitive thought is a worry. Mantras help to free you from your worries

The realization of Atman.

(...) I am of the nature of consciousness.
I am made of consciousness and bliss.
I am nondual, pure in form, absolute knowledge, absolute love.
I am changeless, devoid of desire or anger, I am detached.
I am One Essence, unlimitedness, utter consciousness.
I am boundless Bliss, existence and transcendent Bliss.
I am the Atman, that revels in itself.
I am the Sacchidananda that is eternal, enlightened and pure.

— Tejobindu Upanishad, 3.1-3.12 (Abridged)

.

This started off as intention setting for myself to repeat before i chant mantra to help me focus on how i wanted to feel, what did i really want to connect with.  it was difficult to put that feeling into words, instead of asking to feel a certain way, i wrote it  as though i am already  expericieng that divine energy through mantra in order to overcome any doubts or sense of lack.

The brain is the physical vessel of the mind. The mind creates thoughts, and thoughts manifest as words. Different thoughts pass through the mind all the time. Can you say that you are these passing thoughts?

Thoughts come and go, but the one aware of them does not come and go. The power that is aware of them is always here. It does not come and go.
