New Job and Exam

Waiting for results of exams,
career rests on school exams,
but what good are those results
if you fail the medical exams.
Which exam do you hold
to be more important?
Which results will give you
more hope?
What did you do to prepare
for each exam?
You studied for the school exam
whilst your health suffered:
Stolen restoration from lack of sleep,
stuffing your body with
toxic processed food,
denying it movement.
Pumping your brain
as you abused your body.
You passed the school exam,
but are now too sick
to pursue your dreams
after failing the medical exam.

Excitement of a new job
A fresh start of a new me
A chance to show my worth
to new friends
And as the first day draws closer,
so does fear of disappointment
of being the disappointment
Now the sleepless night before
imagining it ending
before even begins
