Return to your Meadow

Return to your Meadow
By Deborah Sharma

Striving to fulfill a desire,
is a confusing battle
in an unpredictable life.

Forcibly directing life's story,
expecting compliance
demanding submission
uncertainty is deemed a weakness,
in the planned perfection
of a rigid neatly mapped out life

Unlock yourself from
the tiresome prison of constant craving
detach from the thirst of
endless expectations
Learn to live with who you are now
in every aspect of your beautiful capacity

You are a blooming flower 🌺
untouched in a restorative meadow
of other enigmatic wildflowers,
as rolling hills of life’s
ups and downs naturally pass by
undisturbed in the background
of pure hearts peaceful joy
amongst valleys where tears
are trickling streams
that dance in Sun’s sparkling favour,

Do not ignore your meadow
recuperate in the glory of its liberation

explanation:

When the unknown is relinquished from our grip, we can enjoy present-moment joy, instead of condemning uncertainty as an ugly result of failed planning.  Become accustomed to the journey’s suspense, overcome the feeling that you are living in a fragile glass marble teetering on the edge of destruction if every single outcome is not a certainty.  When exhausted by moulding outcomes, there is relief if we relinquish control and feel excitement in spontaneity
