Short poems on Nature and Spirit

Short poems on Nature and Spirit

Haven
Retreat without regret,

this is the place you seek,
whenever you're upset,

this is the time you deserve,

strolling in peace to preserve,

returning to roots born real

in the ‘alone’ that will heal

exfoliating your grief

on the path of noiseless relief

Merge
Recall the true home in the lovely nest of the haven heart.
Therein lies the sou’s honest existence
in the harmonious hum of this great universe

Suns compass

Good morning sparkling Sun smile,
ignite inner peace awhile,
Illuminating true heart’s spark
guiding to pure loves mark

Sunset clouds

Cloud comfort’s rose blush,
speaks to loves heart’s hush

Naked trees

welcoming the cleansing chill
as kindred spirits of trees repose peacefully
in their bareness of serene abandonment

Mind-Body connect

Energy flows in movement,
bringing enhanced improvement,
balancing the turbulent mind,
healing of a physical kind,
cleansing repetitive regress
from hopeless stagnant stress.
When tempted to mope,
movement brings ways to cope

Thaw my little one

Huddled, puffed-up patiently waiting mourning dove,
A searching cooing echoes from bare branch high above,

Quivering in icy grip of frigid December morn

Thawing in promising Sun’s new hope born

 Chasing the Moon

On a mysterious moonlit meander
stalking the alluring moons
mystical re-emergence,
teasing in her concealment
from behind turbulent clouds
amid the prideful raging wind,
obscuring her sought-after glow
in lonely darkness I struggle

Contrast

Wildflowers bloom brightly,
 springing with sunshine,
amidst a luscious spray of unruly leaves,
around the dull concrete
of the dismal parking lot

Diwali

grateful for loves light
shining through the shrouding clouds
even tho I may not see or feel it,
May this light continue to bless me
with forgiving compassion in empathy,
tender mercies for my mistakes,
and loving kindness in drawing me close
beyond trials in guided grace

When I open my front door in winter

Met by a Frosty embrace,
shocked into the chilled welcome
of a frigid but invigorating morning
restoring breathable balance
and hopeful calm

Leave a sleeping tree be

Unsheltered, exposed,
battered yet composed

resting bare undisturbed

allow to remain unperturbed

Trees’ Hope

Reaching for fresh hope into
healing sky’s light,
stretching limbs toward
Heaven’s divine delight

Free painting

Flamboyant simple splotches,
swept canvas bursting with blotches,
soft strokes bristles brushing,
reviving sweet floral blushing
