Lake’s hopeful freedom By Deborah Sharma Dullness of a wistful Winter Lake, tired ice dissipates and break, reflecting a melancholy feeling, in a climate harshly stealing the vibrancy of a healing light that once elevated a mood so bright, Though in the pit of a dark brood, ponder the dismal grey mood, its origins in the core festering, observe the nagging pestering, still try to break ice frozen, search for relief once chosen, as the lake once again will flow, so the heart yet again will glow.

But crew comradery was sure to fail with the new captain’s bullying first mate, harmony plummeted at an alarming rate.
